In this piece, I was experimenting with various molding paste textures and experimenting with color harmonies. I made the choice to use the triadic color harmony of red, green, and blue in order to investigate how colors may call attention to particular moments. The lush green hill represents life's ups and downs, and the butterfly and lightning reflect any personal improvements, with breakthroughs happening when the lightning strikes. While the use of perspective with the expanding red dots suggests movement, the luminous yellow-green light at the end of the journey signifies the end of a period of difficulty or adversity.
