This portrait-turned-breakthrough aimed to convey serenity and comfort through the movement it imitated and the expression on the woman's face.I experimented with the ability of charcoal to create movement and fluidity by using an eraser to create organic shapes. Initially intended to be a portrait study, Charcoal Series #1 evolved into something more.
This drawing served as the inspiration for countless other charcoal creations.
